Gossip is a social wine app built on a simple idea: the best wine recommendations don't come from scores or algorithms — they come from watching what people you trust actually drink.
Log the bottles you drink and rate them. See what your friends are opening. Keep your cellar organized, with a researched drinking window for every bottle you own. Scan a wine list at a restaurant and get real-time advice on what's worth ordering. Every label you scan comes back with the story of who makes the wine, why it matters, and what it should cost.
The data here is real. Ratings come from bottles members actually drank. Prices come from what members actually paid — at retail and at restaurants. Drinking windows are researched per wine and vintage, then argued with until they're honest. Nothing on Gossip is sponsored, and nobody can pay to be recommended.
Gossip was built by Chris Stang, co-founder of The Infatuation (the restaurant recommendation platform acquired by JPMorgan Chase) and co-author of How To Drink Wine with Grant Reynolds — a book with the same conviction this app has: wine is for drinking, not for showing off.
Gossip is meant to be a community of people who like wine, not a group of wine snobs. The $15 Tuesday bottle belongs here as much as the grand cru. Share what you drink; nobody's grading you.
