Wachau, Austria
Alzinger
Alzinger is a small, highly regarded family winery in the Wachau, Austria's most famous river-valley wine region. Smaragd is the local name for the ripest, richest style of dry white wine; Liebenberg is a single steep riverside vineyard. These are serious, long-lived dry Rieslings that typically cost $50–80.
