Auguste Clape is the most respected name in Cornas, a small northern Rhône appellation where Syrah grown on granite hillsides makes some of France's most serious red wine. Renaissance is their entry-level bottling — a more approachable starting point into what Clape does, at a fraction of the top wine's price.
