Rhône Valley, France
Domaine de la Charbonnière
Charbonnière is a small family estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the southern Rhône's most famous appellation. This bottling comes from their oldest vines — older roots tend to produce more concentrated, complex wine — and it's a serious but fairly priced example of the region.
