Domaine Jean-Michel Gerin

Gerin is a respected family domaine in Côte-Rôtie, the steep northern Rhône hillside region where Syrah makes some of France's most serious reds. Jean-Michel took over from his father in the 1980s and is known for wines that show the savory, meaty side of Syrah rather than big fruit.
