Peter Lauer is a small family estate in the Saar valley whose wines have quietly become some of Germany's most sought-after Rieslings. Fass 6 is wine from a single barrel — lean, nervy, and electric, from some of the coldest vineyards in Germany, which is why the wine ends up so sharp and alive rather than sweet.
