
Inglenook was one of Napa's great historic estates, founded in the 1880s and later taken over by a corporate owner that diluted its reputation. By 1985 it was still producing serious estate Cabernet — a relic of old Napa ambition before the brand was eventually rescued by filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola.
