Jean-Marie Fourrier is a quietly respected winemaker in Gevrey-Chambertin who trained under Henri Jayer, the most revered name in Burgundy. This wine comes from old vines in one of Chambolle-Musigny's top named vineyards, a village famous for producing Pinot Noir that is silky rather than muscular.
