Giuseppe Mascarello is one of the most respected old-guard Barolo families in Piedmont. Monprivato is their single vineyard — essentially their whole identity — and the 2010 is from one of the greatest recent vintages for Barolo. This is a serious, unforgettable wine at a price that reflects it.
