Malabaila di Canale is an old noble family estate on the Roero side of Piedmont, the sandy-soiled hills across the river from Barolo. Their rosé is made entirely from Nebbiolo — the same grape as Barolo — but picked early and pressed off the skins quickly to give a pale, fresh, easy-drinking pink wine.
