Outward was started in 2016 by a rock-climbing couple, Ryan and Natalie — Ryan's father ran Stag's Leap Wine Cellars. This Chenin comes from 50-year-old vines on a remote limestone hillside, one of the first vineyards ever planted in San Luis Obispo County.
