Peter Lauer is a small family winery on the Saar river, a cold tributary of the Mosel, making some of Germany's most sought-after Rieslings. Kabinett No. 8 comes from the Kupp hillside and is low in alcohol, lightly sweet, and brisk — the kind of wine that costs less than it should given how hard it is to find.
